Q1. Does the Purple Pear Cafe collect user data?
A1. NO. None, nada, zip, squat, zilch. NYET.
Q2. Does the Purple Pear Cafe protect against online harassment?
A2. YES. Unknown users CANNOT speak to you, OR sit at your dining room table, without your consent.
Q3. As a band or DJ, how can I showcase my music?
A3. You can create a Band/DJ Event, and then play your own custom music tracks/mixes for all event attendees to hear. While your songs are playing, you can mingle with attendees, and take song requests.
Q4. If I create or attend an event, how do I let others know to join me?
A4. You enable your leaderboard listing, so that friends (or optionally anyone in the world) can see your listing and join your event (unknown users must ask your permission to join). Once your leaderboard listing is enabled, you can also send notices to any, or all, of your friends, challenging them to join you.
Q5. How do I converse with others at an event?
A5. The first to sit at a dining room table can enable it for conversation. Then, anyone who sits at that table will be automatically engaged in group conversation with the others at that table.
Q6. How can I prevent surrounding conversations from interfering with my own conversation?
A6. Totally unnecessary, because the conversation at your dining room table is 100% isolated from the conversation at any other dining room table.
Q7. Does the Purple Pear Cafe do video conversations?
A7. YES, the Purple Pear Cafe utilizes Zoom Workplace to support audio-only and audio-video conversations.
Q8. Why do I hear synth voices in the dining room?
A8. Two reasons: 1) verbal instructions from the cafe Maitre D, Host, and Server; and 2) song announcements from the Band Frontman.
Q9. Do you offer a ‘free-trial’ version?
A9. NO. The Purple Pear Cafe is FREE FOREVER. Just download the latest version from the Apple App Store, to obtain a full-featured, ad-free, PurplePearCafe app that you can enjoy for as long and as often as you like.
